Conditions of Sale
Each Morley Auctioneers & Valuers auction is conducted under the terms announced with that sale. By registering to bid, in the room or online, you accept those terms together with the conditions below.
Buyer’s premium
A buyer’s premium of 24% (including VAT) is added to the hammer price of each lot. Online bidding platforms charge their own internet bidding surcharges; please check with the platform you intend to use.
Viewing & condition
Viewing is on the Wednesday and Thursday prior to each sale, 10am–4pm. Condition reports are available by email for bidders unable to attend viewing, quoting the lot number; condition requests are not available once the sale has commenced.
Payment
We accept cash, card and bank transfer.
Collection & shipping
Lots may be collected from our auction rooms at Unit 1, Alexandra Mills, Baker Street, Morley, Leeds LS27 0QH on Saturday, Monday and Tuesday, 10am–4pm (no collections on Sunday). Some lots are available for our in-house shipping service — request a quote once you receive your invoice. Otherwise you may send your own courier offering a pack-and-wrap service.
Sellers
Seller’s fees are £3 per lot and 21.5% commission (VAT inclusive). Sellers are paid by bank transfer within 21 working days of the sale.
